About the Role:
The Cheese Shop in Concord, MA is looking for a passionate and friendly Deli Counter associate to join our team! We are looking for passionate individuals to help assist our deli making sandwiches and preparing food. Responsibilities:
- Assist customers at the deli counter with sandwiches, product selection, recommendations, and custom orders
- Slice, wrap, and package meats and specialty deli items to order
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked deli counter display
- Handle food preparation tasks in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Receive and rotate deli inventory, checking for freshness and proper storage
Requirements:
- Prior deli, food service, or specialty food retail experience preferred but NOT necessary
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn food safety and sanitation best practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and a true team player
